Along the time axis one can "imagine" the future, only through "breakthroughs" can one create a new future.

Going into the era of “cloud” computing, Quanta Arts Foundation along with Taipei National University of the Arts (TNUA) are bringing together the most talented minds in the fields of technology development and technology-art creations to organize an unprecedented performing arts festival, “Transfuture.”  “Transfuture” gathers the most prominent artists from around the world to create new forms of art that cannot be defined and that push the boundaries into new territory.  It will redefine art festival venues, setting new benchmarks for art festivals and technology-art, while leading the world in art and technology integration to create a new “Transfuture.”

Opening Ceremony Party

With nationally renowned pioneer sound artist, Wang Fu Jui, as lead planner, in collaboration with the talents of international heavyweight sound artist, Frank Bretschneider, from Germany, TNUA’s Center for Art and Technology, and Live DJ Lin Chiang, this festival combines technology art performance, venue, and culture to create an unprecedented spectacle.

"A Gravity Afternoon" sets off from today's online world and transforms all reality into the concept of a "TAG.” Through use of new digital media such as physical sensing, mapping, and film dimming, he stimulates new possibilities in technological performances.

 

Seeing is not believing

Organized by renowned curator of new media art, Wang Jun-Jieh, “Moment - An International Digital Art Exhibition” gathers the new media works of local and international artists along with those of the Taipei National University of the Arts’ Center for Art and Technology.  Through the use of sensors and mechanically powered devices, Wang displays the characteristics of the merging of art and technology highlighted at the axis of time and space:  From the viewer’s interactions, feelings of tranquility, surprise, or delight will arise.  Sensing this finely-tuned psychological process has always been the valuable characteristic of digital art that occurs during the special interaction amongst the artist, the work, and the viewer.  It brings the viewer’s body into a completely new environment.
